The Economics of Cool
Resonance moves money.
Coolnomics® is a human-first economic theory and business education platform exploring how culture, emotion and credibility shape markets.
We know that the economy is not driven by numbers alone.
It is driven by people. By what they feel, value, trust and believe in.
Coolnomics® exists to help leaders understand that reality and build businesses, brands and policies that resonate.
The Story
Coolnomics® was founded by Robyn Wilson as an economic theory in 2023. It grew out of two decades working across cultural industries, corporate transformation, public institutions and education.
Across boardrooms, design spaces and large-scale systems, the same pattern kept appearing.
What worked was not just efficient.
It was emotionally intelligent.
Culturally relevant.
Credible.
What failed usually ignored those forces.
Coolnomics® was created to name, study and operationalise that pattern. And to bring commercial thinking into the same room.
Today, it functions as both a public research project and a practical business methodology.
What Coolnomics Studies
Coolnomics® explores the relationship between the cultural zeitgeist and the economy in real time.
We look at how:
Emotional resonance drives demand, trust and loyalty
Cultural relevance shapes value creation
Credibility determines whether attention converts to action
Commercial viability emerges from alignment, not hype
Regenerative thinking supports long-term growth
In short, we study why some ideas stick, scale and endure, while others disappear.
Cool is not simply aesthetics.
Cool is resonance.
And resonance matters to an economy.
From Theory to Practice
Coolnomics® is not an abstract idea. It is an applied framework used across:
Business strategy and growth
Brand and product architecture
Leadership development
Investment thinking
Public sector and cultural institutions
The work lives across three connected spaces:
Business School

The Founder
Robyn Wilson is the founder and head thinker at Coolnomics®.
She is a business strategist and cultural economist whose work sits at the intersection of resonance, commercial growth and long-term economic value.
Coolnomics® began as an economic theory.
It became a methodology through live market application.
Over the past twenty years, Robyn has refined and pressure-tested the Coolnomics® method in real time, working across property, healthcare, luxury, design and institutional sectors in Australia. She has worked with Sydney’s QVB, Machine Hall, Google, Disney, Tourism Australia, NSW Health and hundreds of emerging leaders.
Through her strategy studio, Superora®, she has led the commercial application of Coolnomics® across major transformations and new ventures. These projects were not theoretical exercises. They were full-spectrum business builds.
Our Belief
Cool is a natural outcome of resonance.
When we understand the emotional drivers behind markets, we can design better businesses, systems and futures.
Coolnomics® exists to bring that understanding into the room.
“Robyn Wilson has a talent for bringing people together, getting them enthusiastic and involved and getting things done. You feel smart when you talk to Robyn, like she’s doing something really cool and you understand it really well so you might just be really cool as well.”
